Hannah had a few fun dress up days at school in the spring.
During an American Heros unit, each student chose one person to study and write a report about. Hannah chose Betsy Ross. They dressed up like their hero and read their report to the class and a small audience of parents.
Hannah did NOT like her hat, but I made her wear it because I went through the trouble of borrowing it from a friend and it made the whole outfit!
Then her class studied pioneers. On the last day of the unit they clelebrated by having a pioneer day. You had to bring your lunch in a pail and couldn’t bring anything packaged…just meat, veggies and fruit. Her teacher brought a bowl with water and they had to ladel it out to drink. They even wrote on small chalkboards during the day. Hannah really liked it.
Then there was Dr. Suess Day. What a cute Cindy Lou Who!!
