Soccer Star

photo (21)

Hannah played soccer this fall through the Y and it was interesting to watch…to say the least. In the beginning her team didn’t have a coach, so Scott volunteered to do the job. We figured it couldn’t be that hard. The rulebook for the 3-4’s was simple:

1. This is the ball.

2. Kick the ball into the goal.

3. Don’t use your hands.

Even though neither of us played soccer, we figured we could handle that. Scott and Hannah both had a great time. Hannah was just excited if she kicked the ball one time. She would kick it then stop and smile really big at me. It was so cute! She actually did score a goal during one game. I almost peed my pants….calm down, Mom.

Here she is warming up before the game with the team.

This was their favorite part. Go Hummingbirds!

Here’s little brother cheering for his sister (in an Aggie shirt, of course).

After all that, I think she still likes ballet just a little bit more…

Maroon Out

Nathan is already a hard core Aggie fan. He has about six aggie shirts and we rotate through them every week. It’s literally all he will wear. He is known at school as Johnny Manziel.

He calls this the “Boom shirt.”

This is the Dat Nguyen jersey.

Here is the beloved Johnny Manziel shirt. He insists on wearing it backwards because “Johnny Manziel’s number is in the front.” It’s a battle I don’t care to fight or win. As long as he has clothes on, I’m happy.

He also has a 12th man jersey and a few others not pictured. Since its getting colder I have to convince him to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. He’s very reluctant because it’s just plain gray with no Aggie logo….this boy.

You can also hear him at random times walking through the house humming or singing every word to the Aggie War Hymn.

What is that? You think he’s brainwashed?

We like to think he’s just a good Aggie;)
