Dying eggs on Saturday

The kids were up bright and early Sunday morning to check out their Easter baskets. A few of their favorites were bible covers, new pj’s and Snackies (a cup they saw on a commercial that holds your snack and a drink at the same time).

Henry got more sidewalk chalk, bubbles and books.

Then out to hunt eggs!

Oops.

And he’s up.

He wasn’t sure what he was suppose to be doing, but figured it out pretty quickly.

After egg hunting we cooked our Ressurrection Rolls, ate breakfast and got ready for church. Nathan was mad about something and wouldn’t cooperate.

Until we bribed him with a doughnut.

Henry wore Scott’s suit and shoes from when he was a little boy.

So. Stinkin. Cute.

And Nan made sure everyone had an Easter outfit.

And we finally made it to church.

We did a lot before 9:30 am!!

Spring Tee Ball

Nathan played Tee Ball this spring in the Aledo league.  There were 14 teams, and they played two games per week, plus a practice.  It was a 5-6 league, so Nathan was one of the younger players.  The rules were 5 runs per inning or 3 outs.  He played on the Diamondbacks with Coach Prescott who did a great job.  It was a great season, the team went 11-3.  Nathan got to rotate and play most positions.  The team also had their own walk up songs when they were batting; Nathan picked the Aggie War Hymn.

He was also a pretty good hitter for being one of the younger players.  He hit several doubles and even one triple.  He liked running the bases

 

After every game, Coach Prescott gave out the game ball to a different boy each week.  Nathan got the game ball twice.  Once, it was when all the grandparents were in town for Hannah’s birthday.  We were up 25-24 in the last inning, and we had 2 outs.  Nathan was playing second and they hit it right to him. There was a runner at first, so Nathan snagged the ball and touched second, getting the third out and winning the game. 

He was so excited to win the game ball.  The first time he got it, he put it on his nightstand and told it good night.

It has been a great season, but it’s not over yet.  Playoffs start next week!

Spring Break

The big kids went with Nana, Pappy and cousin Aylah skiing during spring break. They were spoiled rotten and had so much fun. Here are a few of the highlights…

Not to mention a whole lot of skiing! What a fun week. I think Nana and Pappy were exhausted by the end of the trip

Scott and I drove up to Canyon to get them. We played Twister one night. The kids thought it was the best game ever.

We celebrated Henry’s 2nd birthday.

And got a little more snuggle time in with the cousins!

Thanks Nana and Pappy. We got some rest and the kids had a blast!
