2015 Ski Trip

After we opened presents on Christmas day, we started packing up to go skiing.  We loaded up all the things we would need in the mountains, including snow boots!

Then we drove up to Canyon.  We drove the entire way without stopping.  That is the first time we have ever done that with three kids. We made it in five hours flat.

The next morning, Rebecca came out with her crew and we opened presents with Nana and Pappy.

After presents, we loaded up and headed to the mountains.  We got about halfway there and it started snowing on us pretty hard.  The next day all the highways in Amarillo were shut down, so we made it just in time.  We probably got about 2 feet of fresh snow while we were in Angel Fire, so the skiing was great!

The kids found a big icicle the first day we skiied while we were getting ready to go.

IMG_2453

Nathan was a cool dude just waiting on us to go.

Finally ready to ski!

We skied on blue runs most of the time.  The greens were too flat with all the powder. I still think their favorite part is stopping at the top for lunch.  Everyday they wanted the same thing: a hotdog, chips, skittles and hot chocolate.  They were happy kids after lunch.

Henry hung out at the house with Aunt Becca, Ruby and Charlotte.

The three babies learned really quickly where to find food.

Here is a good picture to end on….Nana and Pappy with all the grandbabies.

We drove all the way back on New Years eve and then had three days at home before work started.  It was a great trip!

Christmas at Home

We were at home for Christmas this year.  We were both working at the Christmas Eve services at our church.  Here is the only shot we got of our kids in their Christmas Eve outfits.

IMG_2417

After church we changed into our PJs and went to look at Christmas lights.

IMG_2420

We drove to this one particular house that had a twelve minute light show coordinated with music over the radio.  The picture doesn’t do it justice. The kids were in awe.

IMG_2421

Then we came home and got ready for bed

IMG_2429

We put out some cookies and milk for Santa

and some reindeer food for his helpers.  Henry didn’t really know what we were doing but he could tell something exciting was going on.

IMG_2433

The next morning we came out and opened presents!

IMG_8466

Henry found some goldfish in his stocking.  He went straight to the kitchen to get a bowl and then he was happy.  Not much interest in opening other presents.

IMG_8468

Nathan got a new bike

IMG_8465

He also got some pennants for all of the SEC schools. He lays in his bed at night with a flashlight memorizing all the team names.

IMG_2474

Jennifer and Hannah got some matching aprons

IMG_3069

Hannah got a journal.

IMG_8467

She also got a balance beam.  She and Nathan helped Henry walk across it.

IMG_8474

Nathan loved his Cleveland Browns uniform set.

IMG_2443

After presents we had our coffee/birthday cake for Jesus. We are so blessed and, once again, had a really great Christmas at home with our kidddos.

Christmas Party

Scott’s company Christmas party was at the Ballpark in Arlington this year and it didn’t dissapoint.

The kids did some face painting

Then we saw Santa.  Henry wasn’t super excited.

IMG_3053

Then we took a tour of the ballpark.  Here are the kiddos in the dugout.

IMG_3048

They also had a cookie decorating table with hot chocolate. The kids had a blast!

Sports Clips

I think we found the perfect place for Nathan to get his hair cut….at least during football season.

There are no words…

IMG_2938

We took Broady to the groomer after our Thanksgiving trip and when we picked him up they gave us this picture. Hilarious!

Henry’s Tricks

Henry hasn’t started talking that much yet but it hasn’t kept him from developing a number of tricks.

He can almost do a flip

IMG_2830

He can hold the sign when they pick up Hannah from school

IMG_2400

He can also eat yogurt by himself

December Happenings

The kids had fun in December getting ready for Christmas.  Here are a few of the random things we did around the house and out on the town.

Hannah and Henry re-enacted Mary riding a donkey

IMG_2382

They rode in the jeep

IMG_2402

Hannah made some headbands she got from Aunt Nancy

IMG_2403

The boys liked helping me carry firewood

IMG_2313

Hannah kept losing teeth!  She even made it in the paper with the rest of the first graders who were wishing for their two front teeth for Christmas!

IMG_3074

One Saturday, Jennifer took Hannah to the Nutcracker with a friend

IMG_2372

While the boys watched Aledo play at Cowboys Stadium.  Nathan was pretty excited if you can’t tell by the pictures
