7 Months Old

At 7 months, Hannah is full steam ahead! She is now crawling like a pro, pulling up and letting go, and (as of today) she started walking along the couch when she pulled up. Since she is crawling, she has officially graduated from the "infant room" to the "crawlers room" at church...such a big girl!

She also has two little teeth on the bottom. One came in a couple of weeks ago and the other broke through just today. After all the months of pain and teething, they are finally here...way to go Hannah!

She has started babbling a lot more too. Her favorite thing to say is "babababa" over and over. Occasionally, she will throw in a "dadada" to Scott's delight! She has also settled down into a very nice little sleep routine for the most part (as soon as I write this, it will no doubt change). But as of now, she goes to bed around 7pm (hallelujah!!) and wakes up around 7am. She takes about a 2 hour nap in the morning and about a 1 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon. I hope she keeps this up for a while!

Here are a few more of her favorite things (in no particular order):

1. eating her big girl Stage 2 foods
2. her dog, Broady
3. bathtime
4. daddy getting home from work
5. being outside

Below are pictures of Hannah out in her first snow and getting all dressed up for church:

Thanksgiving 2009

Well, we have so many things to be thankful for this year. God has been so good to our little family and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. We are grateful for each other, our precious baby girl, for friends and family, and so much more.

We are especially thankful for the health of our family members, in particular, Scott's sister, Anne. Despite constant health problems, the Lord has been faithful to see her through them all. She is so special and always makes our visits to Canyon a little more entertaining. It is so fun to watch her face light up when her brother comes to visit (although she tries to hide her excitement by staying in her room for a while when we first arrive so Scott doesn't get all the attention immediatey). We are thankful that Anne was feeling good while we were there and that she had a good Thanksgiving.

Here are some pictures from our visit in Canyon:

The Polar Express

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to the North Pole via Palestine, Texas. That's right, we took a ride on the Polar Express version of the Texas State Railroad. It is about a 1-hour train ride full of activities for the kids including cookies and hot chocolate, reading along to the Polar Express book, Christmas carols, and a special visit by Santa. Palestine is about halfway between Fort Worth and Evadale, so we all met in the middle and had a great time. Here are some pictures....notice the matching pajamas. They encourage everyone (i.e., the kids) to wear PJs on the train :)

Meet Broady

So we broke down and got a puppy. We settled on a Red Merle Australian Shepherd who we named Broady in honor of where we got him. We picked him up on our way back from Thanksgiving in Canyon (pics coming soon). We think he is going to be really pretty when he gets older, and Hannah absolutely loves him. The only problem is that now we have a 7 week old puppy and a 7 month old daughter.....so needless to say, we have our hands full :) Pics below
