We drove down to College Station in April to watch an Aggie Baseball game and the spring football game. We met the Zinneckers and had a great time. It was a cheap and fun way to do Aggieland.
We got there early and did a tour of Kyle Field. This was Nathan throwing a touchdown pass.
Henry melted down on the sideline.
Then we practiced our best football poses
Next up was the baseball game. We sat in the grass by the playground and the kids had a blast going back and forth the whole game. The Aggies beat Georgia 15-1 including 5 home runs so it was a fun game to be at. The weather was overcast so it wasn’t too hot. Before the game, the kids got to go out on the field to sing the war hymn and national anthem. They decided to stick together.
Sawing ‘em off
Our kids went to the pitcher. This was probably the highlight of the entire trip
After the baseball game, we put the kids in the strollers and walked over to the MSC. Henry fell asleep and napped for about 30-45 minutes in between the baseball game and the football game. We got to the MSC right when the band was marching in and got to see them. Then we went into the air conditioning for a snack break in the MSC.
We walked into the football game right when they were singing the war hymn – perfect timing. We grabbed a seat and watched about a quarter before the kids were getting hungry and restless.
Henry wanted “more” football
One last photo op before leaving campus
After the game, we went to Koppe Bridge and ate burgers. The kids played in the grass and then we said our goodbyes before driving back to Fort Worth. Our kids slept all the way home. What a day!! Gig’em Aggies!! WHOOOOOP!!!!
