We had a fun Tea Party for Hannah’s 6th Birthday this year. She LOVED helping with the decorations and making the dining room “fancy.” She had an opinion about everything. From how to set up the place settings to the order we would do all the activities. She knew exactly what she wanted. She even made a list before the party which had everything listed (in order) of how she wanted the party to go.
She cut out and decorated all twelve placemats for each of her friends.
She wanted the play jewelry hung up on my jewelry stand…
And all of her dress-up to be on display in the living room.
When the girls arrived, she helped them pick out a dress if they wanted one.
Then she moved them to the kitchen table to make paper fans…
and decorate fancy party hats.
Once they were all decked out, we had a photo shoot!
Then played a fun game of Pin the Tea Cup on the Teapot.
After the games, we moved into the dining room to begin our tea party. We quickly went over a few manners that every girl needs to remember at a fancy party.
And then enjoyed some sweet treats.
Opening presents…
Hannah had originally checked out a few tea party books from the library and wanted me to read them, but decided that the chickens sounded more fun. She took all her friends to the backyard and they all started chasing chickens around in their fancy dresses. It was really cute.
Nathan decided that someone needed to protect all the princesses, so he put on his Batman suit.
It was another fun party and Hannah and her friends had such a great time!
