We went to Angel Fire for Thanksgiving and had fun visiting with everyone.
We had lots of good food
Hannah had a photo shoot on the deck
And we got in the hot tub
The kids did some sledding
And drank some hot cocoa
The trip did not come without consequences though. Jennifer slipped on the ice and bruised her tailbone. Then we went over to ski Red River, and I crashed on my first run. I went off a ledge towards a mogul run and the landing was blind. As soon as I went off, I saw two huge ice boulders right in the landing area. I bit it hard, lost my skis, did a front roll. I ended up spraining my thumb, neck and ankle. I did a couple more runs and then decided to hang it up for the day. My thumb is still not really functional yet. Thank goodness we had Bill and Sally there to help deal with all our mishaps.
Hannah said, “Daddy, why didn’t you just stop and think and go a different way?”
Good point. Maybe next time I will.
